$600 for 6-day package
Limit: 6

Putnam Studio, 230 Franklin Rd., Franklin, TN

This on-going, advanced mentoring program is for artists seeking to focus on specific goals in a consistent teaching environment. Each 6-day package will be scheduled in three-month increments.

Current students are automatically offered available spaces in order to stay in the program as long as desired.

To be considered, email 3 images of current work tolori@loriputnam.com. At that time you will receive a questionnaire to complete and return.

Send NO payment until you are notified to do so. As spaces become available in the program, you will be notified of dates for the upcoming quarter and asked to confirm your desire to participate by sending a non-refundable, $300 deposit to hold your space. Balance due first day of attendance.

Expression & Brushwork: Study to Studio

Wednesday, Oct. 8th, 2014 through Friday, Oct. 10th, 2014

$425
Hosted by Carmel Visual Arts
Carmel, CA

Advanced-Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Painters welcome.
Plein air experience strongly recommended.

Is this you?
As an artist you know you see differently than the rest of the world; you feel inspired and excited by scenes and cannot wait to paint them. Throughout your painting, you loathe some passages, wonder if others are finished or overworked, and live in fear that you will "mess up" the very best parts of the painting that you actually like. In the end, your completed works do not convey your original inspiration or excitement.

Brushwork, paint consistency, and fearlessness are rarely taught. Lori Putnam believes they are essential to mastering more thrilling paintings. In this workshop, students will begin en plein air making many sketches, grasping excitement, and capturing ideas. These sketches (most with little or no detail) will then be used as inspirational material for more-complete studio pieces that remain fresh and inviting.

Visit Putnam Workshop to register.

This workshop includes lectures and demonstrations, individual painting time, personal instruction, and group exercises.

LDL (Long Distance Learning)

Dates to be determined

I will be developing an LDL program for artists who want to study with me without travel.

Thank you for your patience. The beginning of this program has been delayed. I have decided it is in the best interest of all involved, if I do not start the program until after I have moved into my new studio location. This will allow easier video conferencing and communication. My apologies for the delay.

If you are interested in learning more about this program as it becomes available, email me lori@loriputnam.com.
